Cardiac Rehab in Allen, TX

I completed my cardiac rehabilitation weeks ago and figured I’d wait a while to review my experience. When it comes to the physical therapy exercises I did feel like it was helpful with my healing and recovery progress. I learned proper work out form and techniques that still help me today. The way this office operates is a reflection of just how slow recovery can be and why patients need to be Patient! Great job there! I am grateful I had PT Hailey who reminded me of what progress really looks like and to be gentle with myself. I was clear about my health and my needs and she listened and treated me accordingly. Things did start off rough and awkward but got better with time. Hailey communicated my progress during each workout(especially my heart rate as I had a lot of anxiety there) and monthly when I did progress testing. I really appreciate the care, feedback and assistance I consistently received from Hailey. When she was not in office it was definitely felt in how I was communicated with and assisted- and that is the reason for my 4 star review. Not feeling heard and receiving very little feedback from other staff is something that lowered my confidence and trust in this specific healthcare office especially when I was vocal about my concerns and anxieties about PT from day one. Meeting people where they are is an important skill needed in healthcare. Good communication and setting proper expectations of each team members role/service offered should be the standard across the board but it wasn’t my experience here. But overall I appreciate the program and how careful they are with patients during such a sensitive time. Now that I understand how differently each person communicates I’d still recommend this location but would advise that patients advocate for themselves and ask questions if there’s something they want to know.

Well...where to even start....being one of the first patients/youngest patient, as I was 19 going into cardiac rehab. That was the absolute best I could've ever hoped for! Mackenzie and Brooke helped rehabilitate me after quite literally the WORST TIME OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. Dude I'm talking aortic aneurysm leading into cardiac arrest "worst time" of my life. And to be honest, I miss it. I miss waking up a 9 am to have Mackenzie make me exercise and run at least a mile on a treadmill. I miss Brookes cooking classes teaching me the fundamentals of how to make heart healthy meals. Even the half an hour to an hour long pritikin class videos with that one dude that we were fairly certain was standing on a block the whole time because he's actually a midget. The time I helped them decorate a little bit for Halloween. The times I listened to creeptime the podcast with Mackenzie while doing my morning runs. The day we made this one Moroccan dish that I STILL eat now because it was so good. There are just so many things that made my time there so special to me. They were able to turn recovering from the darkest time of my life, into a flourishing light that seemed to have no bounds. My body got stronger, my mind wiser, and my skills sharpened. As I adapted to this new life they helped pave the way for me moving forward with my body. And for that, I will NEVER forget my time here. And I will never forget Mackenzie and Brooke. From the bottom of my new heart, I love you guys SO MUCH! And for anyone that needs rehab YOU HAVE FOUND IT! Trust me, as a former dead guy, I feel more alive than ever after it. - JJ 😀

The entire cardiac rehab team was absolutely incredible—from start to finish, they supported me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. From day one, their positive attitudes and genuine care made the rehab process feel a lot less intimidating and so much more empowering. The exercise physiologists guided me through every workout with the perfect balance of encouragement, safety, and just the right amount of tough love. I not only got stronger physically—I regained confidence in myself. A special shoutout to the team’s dietitian as well—thank you for changing how I think about food. The cooking demos, recipe ideas, and approachable advice were actually fun (yes, fun!) and totally life-changing. I now feel more prepared to make heart-healthy choices that don’t feel like punishment. Thank you to every single member of the team for your knowledge, your patience, and for always making me feel like more than just a patient. You’ve made a lasting impact on my health—and made the journey genuinely enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone going through cardiac rehab. This team is top-notch. ❤️

Great experience over 36 sessions. Very much liked the Cardio focus with both physical and educational aspects each session. They made the Pritikin eating plan tasty and sensible. The staff was knowledgeable and focused on using data - my performance, my thoughts - to tailor the program. They pushed me just right based on physical data. While being friendly and listening. The lovely ladies of The Rehab by RescueMD have been amazing during my time at cardiac rehab. Cooking demo days are my favorite.

I see Dr. Okoro at the Allen office and I'm very impressed with her and her staff! Dr. Okoro doesn't rush and really listens to you. She explains everything and includes you in patient care decisions. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a caring, thorough, primary care physician!

I really enjoyed the clinic, staff and provider. Her bedside manner was great and she listened to my concerns. I wasn’t made to feel like my concerns weren’t valid. It was a breathe of fresh air. It’s worth the drive for me.

Dr. Okoro was very knowledgeable and extremely detailed. I’ve seen a Cardiologist as well as another Internist with no luck of finding the right medication or treatment plan for my hypertension and obesity. Dr. Okoro has switched my medication as well as altered my lifestyle (I.e. diet, exercise, stress, etc) to ensure that I get on the right track. I’m so grateful !! I would recommend Okoro to anyone who’s looking to begin a healthy lifestyle journey.

I have Covid and they called back quickly, set up a televisit and called in Paxlovid for me!

Dr. Okoro is amazing. She genuinely cares about her patients.

I am sick and have a newborn. I’m late (5-10 mins after their grace period ends) and they call my husband to say that they are waiting for me. They make me walk in while I am very sick only to tell me that they will not be taking me as a patient. I told them how I have a newborn and that I was sick so everything just got delayed can the doctor please see me. The rude receptionist at the McKinney office said no ma’am she is completely booked and that she wont leave a message for Dr. Naveed as she was busy with a tele-med appt. I drove 35 mins just to get an appointment with them. This is how they treat a sick and weak patient on postpartum. Don’t recommend! New offices are the worst. No manners by the receptionists and no ounce of kindness for the sick. EDIT: Updating to 3 stars for this office because the director of operations called me immediately and the head of teams spoke with me to understand the situation better. They were very kind and apologized about the misunderstanding. I’m happy about how they handled this situation.

So sad to see Dr Abraham leave this practice. She is amazing

Dr. Naveed is amazing, she is listen and pays attention to all my concerns. She is very kind and even took her time to write down all the English detail info that I needed since I mentioned to her that English is my second language, therefore I'm not 100% understand the medical language. And now my husband and my parents will be going there as well. I just found out from their Allen office now a Cambodian translator is available if my family needs it.

I will not talk about the physician. I am talking about the system of this clinic. It is weird. The staff is not professional at all. They will bother you with many reminders to submit your pre-check questionnaire even after you do it. However, they are forgetting to ask you about the most important things like to be fasting before coming to do your lab tests. I reserved two separate appointments for me and my wife. However, we did the two appointments at the same time in the same room. I think it is not professional.

Dr. Aminah Naveed was amazing. She was very kind and knowledgeable. Understood my health concerns and was patient with me as I was visiting the city from Canada. She prescribed me a good treatment which worked for my health improvement and would definitely recommend her for future visits.

The Doctor was awesome and the staff! The only thing I noticed to many urine cups in the bathroom with names and DOB! HIPA. And no paper towels to dry hands in the bathroom.

Dr. Abraham is such a caring, compassionate doctor. She doesn’t make you feel rushed or like she’s in a hurry. She’s the thorough and a great listener! I feel so comfortable in her presence and trust her with my care. I’m so grateful to have found such a hidden gem! I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Abraham was AWESOME!! As a new patient, she took the time to find out about me to ensure that I got the correct medication. After the prescription was not sent to the pharmacy, she reached out personally to check on me to make sure I got it.

Dr.Abraham takes the time to know you as a person and not a number.

Dr. Naveed is great. She'll hear your questions patiently and answers each of them in great details. It is hard to find good doctors.

My wife has changed to Kristen Lund as her new PCP. Kristen is very caring, polite, interested in you, takes the time to understand the problems, ask questions to clarify, and most important, she is genuinely concerned about you. There have been 2 visits with Kristen and both times she has displayed the above qualities and she is very knowledgeable.

Very long wait time's, 2nd appointment left me in room for an hour, they forgot me. 3rd visit tried tele-health, didn't send link until 15 minutes into my appointment. Now I'm waiting on a refund for meditation they never sent, won't return my calls.

Dr Naveed diagnosed me immediately and sent proper medication. She explained tirelessly the home remedies I could do meanwhile. Explained all the side effects of the medication she prescribed - (this is the first!)

Dr Naveed is the best doctor you can ask for. She shown keen interest in her professional and always remained enthusiastic during visit. She always patiently explained all the concern and questions and would make sure I’m understanding the situation of my health status. Highly recommended!!

I went for my Annual visit which is 100% covered by my insurance. However, I am surprised to receive a bill of $166.54 for an outpatient visit. When I called the doctors office about this, I was told I had questions which doesn’t cover under Annual visit. All that I answered was whatever the doctor has asked me, which was always the case with my previous Annual visits in Michigan and NJ. It is billed for insurance for both my Annual visit and an outpatient visit. 2 charges for 1 appointment. Extremely disappointed.

Dr. Naveed was so wonderful to work with. This was my first time having her as my doctor, and I would be very fortunate to have her again. Dr. Naveed is respectful, patient, considerate, and very detailed in everything she does.

I was very glad for the ability to talk to a doctor virtually, if not I would have had to talk additional time off from work. Dr. Abraham was great! I am so grateful to her for taking time out of her busy schedule to talk with me. Hopefully after the doctor I’m trying to see receives the referral I’ll be able to get the care that I desperately need. Again, thank you Dr. Abraham for your help!

Great experience with this doctor, she takes her time when listening to patient's concerns and makes sure she understands. Doctor Reshma took her time to thoroughly explain what was going with me, and how the prescribed treatment plan would take care of my issue. The staff are all super nice and the facility is top notch. I would highly recommend Dr. Reshma and the staff at Rescue MD to anyone.

It was a very professional experience. They listened to what I had to say. Provided several different tests. They provided a thorough examination leaving northing to chance. They had excellent bed side manners. They recommended addition tests, such as x-rays.
